Heads up, Maricopa Trail riders!
The Sun Valley Parkway Trailhead will be closed Jan 5-15 for improvements.
The trail will still be open, you just cannot park at that trailhead.

🚧🚧 Sun Valley Parkway Trailhead – Improvement Project 🚧🚧

Beginning January 5 and continuing through January 15, Maricopa County will begin an improvement project at the Sun Valley Parkway Trailhead Parking Lot, located at:

19103 N. Crozier Rd.
Surprise, AZ 85388

During this period, the parking lot will be closed to all public use. Heavy equipment and construction materials will occupy the area for the duration of the project.

The project includes:

- Removal of the existing barbed wire fence
- Installation of a new pipe rail fence surrounding the parking lot
- Replacement of the damaged vehicle access gate

Please note: The trail will remain open; however, it will not be accessible from this parking lot while construction is underway.
