After two full ISR sessions, Maddie knew how to find her float. I truly thought we were just having harmless summer fun in a puddle jumper with her big sister. Then she went back to ISR… and everything changed. Instead of building on the skills she had already worked so hard to learn, we spent the next six weeks relearning them. The part I’ll never forget wasn’t being judged. It was what our instructor said: “Once we know better, we do better.” That stuck with me. Motherhood is full of moments like this. We make the best decisions we can with the information we have. Then we learn, we adjust, and we keep showing up for our kids. I’m sharing this because I wish someone had shown me what I just showed you. If it helps even one family, it’s worth it.
