Big congrats to our new USTA Southwest Adult League 18 & Over Mixed Champions in the 7.0 division, our squad from .

This co-ed group, captained by Kevin Bernal, went a spotless 5-0 this weekend on their home courts at our Section Championships event in Surprise.

This squad now advances on to the USTA League National Championships later this fall in Orlando as our Southwest representative.

The Surprise Tennis Club 18+ 3.5 men’s team has been unstoppable — undefeated in the regular season, winners of playoffs, district champions, AND now Southwest Section champions after going 5-0 in Albuquerque!

Now they’re headed to the USTA National Championships, October 10–12, right here on their home courts in Surprise.

Let’s pack the sidelines and cheer them on to a national title!

Big news from Surprise Tennis Club!
We were honored to receive a USTA Southwest Community Grant in support of our mission to promote tennis here in Surprise, AZ!

To celebrate the grant and , we hosted a FREE Wednesday Night Doubles on May 7 at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex — and it was a hit! 22 players of all levels joined in a fun, social night using our signature card draw format to mix things up and make new connections on the court.

“This event was a great way to get people out on the courts and enjoying tennis in a welcoming environment,” said a Club spokesperson.

We’re proud to keep growing the game and our local tennis family.

Join us the first Wednesday of each month for Wednesday Night Doubles! Thanks to the USTA grant, we’ll be offering even more free events soon.

The Surprise 18+ 6.0 team made a remarkable showing at the USTA National Championships, securing fourth place among a staggering 1,220 teams and 18,278 players within the 18+ 6.0 division from across the country. Playing on their home courts gave them a unique advantage and allowed the entire Surprise Tennis Club community to rally behind them throughout the weekend.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the team captains, Angie Rabb and Chris Heath, for their dedication to the team’s success and all the work that it took to get the team to this point. The team would also like to sincerely thank our family, friends, and fellow tennis players for cheering on the team throughout the weekend. There is no doubt that the support from the sidelines helped propel our success.

This achievement not only highlights the talent within the Surprise Tennis Club but also reflects the strength of community spirit that drives our local tennis community to new heights.

Kudos to the 6.0 and 7.0 mixed doubles teams on their national qualification - a testament to the remarkable growth of the Surprise Tennis Club community!
