Residents putted for Pinot instead of par at this week’s Bottle Bonanza! ⛳🍷 Hit the bottle, take it home. Thanks to everyone who came out and showed off their skills on the green!

The Desert Springs Golf team hosted residents for a mid-morning preview of the course before reopening on Oct. 1.

Director of Golf Brandon Dougherty and Desert Springs and Cimarron Golf Superintendent Jim Stagl spoke to attendees about recent improvements to the course. Upgrades include the transition of tees, fairways and roughs to TifTuf Bermuda grass, as well as the installation of MiniVerde greens. The irrigation system was also replaced and upgraded to help reduce water usage across the course.

A heartfelt thank-you to all the residents who came out to learn about the exciting upgrades at Desert Springs, and to the dedicated team whose hard work brought the course to the outstanding condition we see today.

We lit up the night at our 2025 “Light It Up” glow golf event!

Residents hit the Granite Falls North course for a night of neon fun, playing nine holes lit by glow sticks, glowing balls and light-up accessories.

We appreciate everyone who helped make this event shine and can’t wait to see you all again next year!

As part of the Strategic Water Use Reduction Plan, Grand Golf staff applied a soil stabilizer called ESS-13 to the lake near Granite Falls South 15 green and 16 tee on Friday, Aug. 8. This treatment is being tested to help reduce water loss caused by seepage.

Residents may notice the water looks cloudy for the next few days. This is a normal part of the process while the material settles. Once complete, staff will perform another leak test to measure the effectiveness of the application.

The Cimarron Golf Course, Pro Shop and Snack bar reopened today.

Granite Falls South Golf Course will close tomorrow and remain closed through July 14 for the summer turf transition. Granite Falls North will close July 15-Aug. 4.

The Granite Falls Pro Shop and Snack Bar will stay open throughout both course transitions.
