CMP to Award $1 Million in Scholarships to High School and College Student-Athletes in 2027

The CMP is proud to again present up to $1 Million in scholarships to outstanding athletes involved in marksmanship activities, in support of continued education and personal growth for the next generation. For the 2025-2026 school year, 300 scholarships were awarded.

CMP Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, community involvement and dedication to the sport, regardless of discipline.

Though the CMP’s Scholarship Program has provided thousands in funds to youth over the past few decades, in 2025, CMP leadership decided to increase the allotted scholarships to more than $1 million to deserving students.

NEW FOR 2027: In addition to its established scholarship program for graduating high school seniors, the CMP is expanding scholarship opportunities to include students currently enrolled in college who have continued participating in marksmanship competitions – reserving 10, $5,000 scholarships for college students.

A huge thank you to the Yuba City Early Risers Kiwanis Club for their generous $500 donation in support of the Sutter R***e Team! 🎯

Team members Louie Fresquez, Riley Hogan, Tommie McGuire and Jase Quiocho had the opportunity to attend a recent Kiwanis meeting and share a little about our program, their experiences as student-athletes, and the team’s need for updated equipment.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of community organizations like Kiwanis. Their generosity will help support not only our current team members, but future Sutter R***e shooters for years to come.

Our team had an awards ceremony for team awards, Buttes R***e League awards and academic awards. Not only do we have great shooters, but we have some smart kiddos as well. Suhaavie Sandhu is going to be missed by our team, but we are extremely proud of her and her accomplishments. Congrats Suhaavie on your high school graduation and we look forward to seeing what your future holds!
