The past two weekends were spent exploring some local history! Hanna and Jake took a trip down to 127th Warrenton Horse Show with their hunt club Howard County Iron Bridge Hounds. They did a great job preparing for Hunt Night with the help of their amazing club, barn family, and Jake’s owner, Peter. At the 145th Maryland state fair, Bob and Aurora were ambassadors for thoroughbreds. They attended the all-thoroughbred show which was beautifully ran. Their favorite part were all the fans who loved their beautiful braids! They were a little disappointed that they didn’t get a funnel cake of their own 😋

These fundraisers will help support each rider achieve their goals and make their dreams a reality. Thank you Barrington & Walker’s for supporting our youth in pursuing their passion. Both locations are easily accessible. I will be at each event in the evening, once the horses are taken care of. Looking forward to seeing you all or hearing about your carry out!

The Mcdonough summer show had a great turn out. Thank you Julia Donley Photography for being there to capture every horse and rider at the show. Sierra & Paisley had fun cruising around the .70m jumpers. Sierra caught a ride on Upton Acres’ Zorro, while Paisley rode her ridiculously adorable pony, Covergirl. We had fun seeing lots of familiar faces from IEA. This coming season we will miss our region 10 folks, but look forward to working with region 1 again!!

We love having access to the local shows that Swan Lake Stables, LLC. offers because they give our horses and riders an opportunity to build confidence, fine-tune the little things, and work towards bigger goals. Thank you Lia Sim Photography for capturing the process. We are all so lucky that you dedicate your time to each show in the series and capture every ring and rider!

Shout-out to Sassy and Bob, who had a productive weekend as they continue preparing for Colonial Classic! We’re excited to see all of their hard work coming together. We’re proud of Mikaila and Payton who put in the effort, supported one another, and celebrated the progress that they continue to make. It was an added bonus to hang out with Hanna & Tori while they’re preparing for Hunt Night with Howard County-Iron Bridge Hounds at Warrenton later this summer.

As always, none of this would be possible without their wonderful mounts and the people that keep them happy and healthy as well as the endless support that all of the riders’ families provide!
