Some days, you just have to stop and marvel at creation. 🐢🌈
This afternoon, while Windy was picking up Jessica and Caleb from their float down the Tuckasegee River, they stumbled upon an incredible sight—tiny snapping turtles hatching from their nest and instinctively making their way toward the river.
And perhaps even more fitting, Tuckasegee is said to mean “place of the turtle” in Cherokee. 🐢 Watching these tiny creatures find their way to the Tuckasegee felt like witnessing that name come beautifully to life.
Then, just a few hours later, Mary and Wren stood in the very same spot where the turtles had been photographed and marveled at a spectacular double rainbow stretching across the sky. 🌈🌈
Same river. Same spot. Just hours apart. Tiny turtles making their way to the water below, followed by a double rainbow filling the heavens above.
What an incredible day to simply stand still and bask in God’s majesty. 💚
