Our Southview Wrestlers ended their regular season yesterday at the NLL tournament held at Napoleon High School. All fought hard and laid a foundation that can be built on.
Jakia Green made it to the finals and had an exciting match where all Sylvania Wrestling (SV+NV) came together to cheer her on as she finished 2nd! We are all very proud of this first year wrestler making it the finals!
For the boys, placing 4th in his freshman year at 120 lbs, Noah Hagemeyer. He broke his bracket with an upset over the 3rd seed!
At 144 lbs, Dominic Navarro-Kline won an OT match in the blood round to gain his finals match postion, placing 6th.
Alex Genson finished off his high school regular season career snatching 4th!

Our Varsity wrestlers headed to one of Ohio’s toughest tournaments this weekend. This year’s Maumee Bay Classic featured over 60 schools. We had no placers but saw some improvement, identified things to work on, and had the opportunity to wrestle some of Ohio’s top talent.
