The Boys Varsity Basketball team won their opening round sectional game last night at home, defeating Beaver River 76-64.

The Saints were led by Westin Retzos with 35 points, including 5 three pointers, and Landon Bregou with 22 points and 27 rebounds.

The team advances to the quarterfinals where they will face #1 seed Cooperstown on Thursday at 7:30 pm at Cooperstown High School - free admission.

Congratulations to the Saints and good luck as they look to advance in the Sectional tournament Thursday evening!

The Boys Varsity Basketball Team earned the 8 seed in the upcoming Class C Sectional Playoff Tournament and will host 9 seed Beaver River on Monday 2/24 at FHS at 6:00PM.

The Boys Varsity Basketball team concluded their regular season last night with a 62-53 win over OnTech. The win clinched the regular season league title for the Saints- they finished the regular season with a 13-6 record.

The Saints were led by Landon Bregou with 33 points and Westin Retzos with 20 points. Landon also surpassed 1,000 career rebounds last night after reaching 1,000 career points last week!

The Saints now await their sectional playoff matchup, which will be determined on Thursday.

Congratulations to the team for a great regular season and also to Landon on surpassing another milestone!

Great team win over Cincy: Junior Landon Bregou led the way with 24 points and 13 rebounds, ⭐️surpassing 1000 career points scored!!! Congrats Landon on this accomplishment! ⭐️

Carter Henderson with a lights out night: 19 points, 4 assists, 5 rebounds, 5 three pointers and lock down defense.

Westin Retzos with 17 points, 5 assists and amazing plays to spark transition.

Congratulations to senior Lauryn Lape for joining the “1000 digs club”!

Lauryn registered 31 digs Thursday night in the five set home match against Port Byron, taking her over the 1000 mark in the middle of the second set.

We encourage all Saints Fans to come out to FHS tomorrow- Friday January 31st at 6:30-to support the Boys Varsity Basketball team in their home game against Sackets Harbor. Not only will the game be a rematch of last year’s Section 3 Class D Championship game but it’s also Senior Night- seniors Jayden Taylor and Luke Fraser will be honored before the game. Make sure you arrive early for the Senior Game festivities, which will take place before the start of the game at 6:30- you won’t want to miss this!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT!!

Adam Loch participated in the “Senior Walk” last Saturday to kick off the indoor winter track meet at OCC. Adam was joined by his mother, Coach Janet Loch.

Highlights from the meet:
David Vargo - season's best shot put and another PR in the 25lb weight throw

Saw Htoo - another strong hurdle race and a PR in the long jump

Saints Senior Adam Loch - season's best time in the 600 (5th place) and season's best triple jump (8th place)
