"...we must never forget, every time we sit on a horse, what an extraordinary privilege it is: to be able to unite one's body with that of another sentient being, one that is stronger, faster and more agile by far than we are, and at the same time, brave, generous, and uncommonly forgiving." --William Steinkraus, Olympic Equestrian

Interesting concept. We know that proper training and biomechanics plays a huge role in keeping a horse sound. I don’t think I ever thought about training a lame horse to become sound but it makes sense if you compare it to restorative physical therapy in people.

Are you struggling with keeping calm? Every rider faces challenges at some point in their journey. Whether you’re a casual rider looking to be more confident and comfortable or an experienced rider working with green horse I can help you find that calm and confidence.

"Dressage is the art of teaching the horse to carry you. Riding is the art of learning to be a good load to carry."

I like this description

To improve the position and forward aspect of your hands...

Imagine home base for your hands as a square in front of your saddle that is even with the width and height of your hips. Always keep your hands in the home-base square with the feeling that you are pushing a shopping cart forward.—Melissa Allen
