"Super" strains of bacterial STIs are developing, with high population density areas such as college campuses becoming hotbeds for activity. This can be a cause for concern, since bacterial STIs and many other infections are becoming resistant to antibiotics faster than we can develop new medication.

How can you do your part to prevent the spread of super gonorrhea and other antibiotic-resistant STIs? The key is prevention: make sure you and any partners are getting regularly tested and use barrier protection each time you have s*x?

If you test positive, make sure you take your medication as long as directed, even if you don't "feel sick" anymore.
