Congratulations to our very own Alexandria Ruzekowicz on being named a 2020 Baseball For All Captain. Alex is one of only 15 captains in the country and is looking forward to returning for her 2nd Nationals in July this time as a member of Syracuse Girls Baseball. If you are a high school aged girl in the Syracuse area interested in playing baseball and possibly playing at Nationals please feel free to contact us.
“A number of the girls I had a chance to play with on the Midwest Riveters played in boy leagues and they shared their stories of not being taken seriously as ball players and treated more as novelty acts. [To help avoid that] I am currently working on recruiting players for a team locally [in Western New York] to organize an event to showcase girls baseball between two high schools.
