Camp Rothschild

During this season of gratitude, we give thanks to our partner, the Jewish Federation of Central New York. Thanks to them, the Rothschild Early Childhood Center (RECC) at Temple Adath Yeshurun is the proud recipient of a $16,500 security grant from The Tepper Foundation’s National Security Emergency Fund and Jewish Federations of North America.

This grant helped us bolster security at our Early Childhood school year program and summer camp program, as we are committed to creating safe spaces for our children at RECC. Together, we will stand against hate and intolerance and build a stronger community for all.

Summer Camp starts next week! We're excited to announce that we have an optional Summer Lunch Program available.

The children enjoyed Junior Engineer week! On Friday, they had a makerspace activity where they used recycled materials - egg cartons, plastic bottles, fabric pieces, and more - to make creations. The staff planned to do this for a half hour and the children begged to go longer because they were so into it! They had amazing stories and constructions!

Mel Besdin will be inducted into the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame! Mel has served his the community in a number of ways, but most special to our congregation is the time Mel served as the Before and After School Director and Director of Camp Rothschild at the Rothschild Early Childhood Center.
