Global Grappling League

There are now multiple competitively established schools here in upstate NY for every focus in submission grappling, from nogi and wrestling to the gi, places for both the competitor and hobbyist. We only have a few people from Emerald City Jiu Jitsu competing at this event as a lot of the crew had prior obligations and we are strict in who we allow to compete (having to have a certain amount of sessions in per week, keeping the quality over quantity mindset we could care less about stacking the brackets with numbers), but it is amazing to see the open competition scene around here have it’s first big step towards serious growth and I’m excited to see what the turnouts look like in another 6 months to a year. This will be a well run event by Grappling Industries at a beautiful venue that is more than capable enough to hold all of it’s competitors, if you were looking to do a comp really close to home this is the one. Still time to register!

This Sunday we will be hosting the #5 ranked 135lb nogi grappler on the planet, Cam Mellott for a nogi seminar focused on guard passing and back takes. All ECJJ members as well as other TDBJJ/RABJJ/RGA affiliates pay $50 to register, $75 for all others.
