To all of our friends and families, this is a follow-up to our post last week about Cranx closing down. After reading some of your posts I felt that some of your anger about our relocation is misplaced. U-Haul was not our landlord and wasn’t responsible for Cranx losing its lease. We never had any agreement with U-Haul as a landlord -- we lost our lease as a result of the foreclosure of the property due the former owner’s default on the mortgage. Although an affiliate of UHaul recently purchased the property, they cooperated with us to extend our operation there through this past winter free of any rent. We thank U-Haul for its efforts.
