Backstage Foundation has put together an event for 20 dancers that is a 4 hour artistic collaboration intensive in street styles/hip hop. We are encouraging instructors and choreographers to submit an application as it is fully paid for and an exclusive event that is quite unique. And we don’t do a lot of scholarships that include the dance leaders. We are putting together an artistic piece with all of the styles from the 20 dancers that attend and it will be choreographed that evening to a mix of live drums, live tap dance beats, and a background break dance track. The dancers will also be featured in a Motion Series Dance magazine and gala attendance with Shannon Beauclair Photography. We will then take the dance piece to the streets a few times in historical places in Seattle as an old time happening/flash mob throughout next year. Please also feel free to share with your dance community as this will be something remembered by dancers and our community for years to come!

Congratulations to our two company dancers who attended conventions outside of what we require and came out with scholarships! Round of applause to who attended and who attended !! 👏🏽👏🏽🔥🙌🏽

Our dancers had a great time ! We witnessed many personal bests and others freshly competing their piece for the first time. Keep striving dancers! We have a few competitions left, let's finish off strong 💪🏽💥

We are on spring break starting today, classes will be back in session next Monday! See you all then ☀️✨️🕶👓

We're behind on sharing this information, but some of our students attended and and left not only with more knowledge but with scholarships! We always want our dancers to know the reason for going to conventions is for the experience and to gain more knowledge of a genre, getting a scholarship is not the entire experience it's a cherry on top. But needless to say, we are so proud of our dancers being recognized! Awesome job everyone! 👏🏽👏🏽
