As another school year comes to a close, we would like to recognize ALL Athletic Trainers across our state.
Throughout the year, we've highlighted Athletic Trainers whose teams reached championship games, tournaments, and state events. But today, we want to celebrate everyone who showed up day after day for their athletes. Whether your team won a state title, made the postseason, or simply worked hard through another season, you were there. You taped ankles, managed injuries, provided emergency care, guided recoveries, offered encouragement, and helped athletes continue doing what they love.
Win or lose, Athletic Trainers are always there for their athletes.
Your work matters. Your presence matters. And the impact you make on the lives of young athletes extends far beyond the playing field.
As we wrap up the school year, we'd love to hear from you. Did an Athletic Trainer make a difference for your school, your athlete, or your program this year? Give them a shout-out in the comments. Share their name or tell us how they made an impact. Let's finish this year by recognizing the people who spend countless hours caring for others.
And finally, as summer approaches, take some time for yourself. Rest. Recharge. Reflect on the difference you've made.
Thank you, Athletic Trainers of Washington.

We would also like to recognize Jewel from IRG and Everett High School who provided medical coverage for the WIAA 3A and 4A State Baseball Championship Weekend. Thank you for the long hours that you put in and for treating all of the athletes who were not able to have their athletic trainers travel with them!

Please join us in congratulating Millie Faber from Gonzaga Prep and Ryan Taylor from Sumner High School for the role they played in helping get their baseball teams into the 4A Baseball Championship game! The work that athletic trainers do behind the dugouts can go unnoticed which is why WSATA likes to spend some time acknowledging the ATs within our region! Congrats again on this accomplishment and thank you for the care you provide to your athletes!

A track and field season is long. Hundreds of athletes, countless practices, meets, treatments, evaluations, rehabilitation sessions, and hours spent making sure athletes are ready to perform when it matters most.
When the lights are brightest at the State Championships, the work Athletic Trainers have put in all season is reflected in the success of their teams.
Your athletes shined on the biggest stage, and your dedication helped make those moments possible.
Thank you, Jocelyn and Ellie, for the time, commitment, and care you invested in your student-athletes. Their victories are also your victories.
π Your teams brought home the trophies.
πͺ You helped keep them in the game.

ππ State Champions On the Track, Supported All Season Long ππ
Congratulations to the Mercer Island Girls Track & Field team on capturing the 3A State Championship!
A special recognition goes to Jo Leisinger, who has been there for her athletes every step of the journey.
Being an Athletic Trainer is about so much more than taping ankles and handing out water bottles. It's about building trust, evaluating injuries, guiding recovery, providing support during difficult moments, and helping athletes safely continue participating in the sports they love.
Championships are won through dedication, teamwork, and countless hours of preparation. Behind the scenes, Athletic Trainers play a vital role in making those moments possible.
Thank you, Jo, for the long hours, commitment, and care you provide to your student-athletes. Mercer Island is fortunate to have someone so dedicated to supporting its athletes and athletic programs.
