Health is about more than doctor’s visits. It’s about having access to the resources that help people thrive every day.
Through Olympic Connect, the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is helping connect individuals and families with support for housing, food, transportation, childcare, utility assistance, and more. By providing one-on-one care coordination, Olympic Connect helps people navigate challenges, build stability, and access the resources that matter most to them.
Everyone deserves the support they need to move forward with confidence.

“He asked me to spot him. And I remember thinking, ‘Why is this hulk of a man asking me for help?’”
What started as a simple question in the weight room turned into a friendship that has helped John and Jono transform their health and build a community around them at the Mel Korum Family YMCA.
Together, they’ve lost hundreds of pounds, pushed each other beyond their comfort zones, and created a welcoming group that encourages others to keep showing up.

Hundreds of local students crossed the finish line at the Sound to Narrows race this weekend, but their journey started long before race day 🏃 🏃♀️
Students spent weeks building endurance, confidence, and healthy habits in Fit for Sound to Narrows, a school-based running club program sponsored by the Y. By the time kids reached the starting line, they had already accomplished something remarkable.
From first-time racers to returning runners, every participant had a reason to celebrate. Thank you to our school partners, volunteers, families, and MultiCare Health System for helping make this experience possible.

We’ve been hanging out with the running club at Baker Middle School as they prep for Sound to Narrows this Saturday. 🏃♀️ What’s coach Matthew looking forward to most on race day?
“I'm looking forward to hopefully big smiles for them when they get across and realize that they’ve done something really impressive. I'm hoping their families will be there to see them and support them.”
