With 17 state titles, the first coming under Beardsley in 1959, and 11 second-place finishes, there is no doubt the Moses Lake program has been a constant in the Washington state high school wrestling. With 57 individual state champions, 46 second-place finishers, and 36 third-place recipients, it is no wonder Moses Lake has been so dominant as a team. They have had a total of 207 wrestlers place at the state championships. Spencer Wolfe was the first of many two-time state champions. Some could argue that the Moses Lake wrestling program provided a form of leadership in the development of the sport state wide. One of the greatest things about this program is the extreme sense of pride the community carries. “Support is a rewarding thing,” according to former head coach, Ron Seibel, and the Moses Lake community gives the wrestling program plenty of it.
