Did you know the Tacoma Lawn Bowling Club has been in existence since 1929? The lawn bowling green opened in 1936 and now sits where Yakima Ave. used to cut through the park.

If you’re missing your time at Wright Park, the is worth a visit this time of year!

We had our last bowls of the season yesterday and it was great! Thank you for a wonderful 2023 season! Thank you to & for all of the work you have done to maintain the green! Thank you to all of our volunteers who opened/closed the green, taught learn to bowl classes, helped with new members, helped with open houses, and organized tournaments & leagues! We have a great group of members at TLBC!

Congratulations to Greg McNeill for winning the Tacoma Lawn Bowling Club tournament this year!

We know the 3rd place winner for our 2023 club tournament is Jack Green (left), and the first and second place winner is TBD, will it be Jon Nino or Greg McNeill? Thanks for the photo Michael McKinley!

We don’t have a declared winner yet for our club tournament for 1st & 2nd (future date TBD by Greg McNeill & Jon Nino) but Jack Green won 3rd and Mike Catsi took 4th.
We came, we bowled, that 3rd round was quite wet and we had fun!

One TLBC team (Grit City Rollers) is competing in the NW 5’s this weekend. We are in the middle of the pack after day 1, 10 teams competing.
