I was so moved by this card my client gave me on her final session. Seeing people able to live without pain and regain their abilities and their confidence is its own reward. Getting a card like this is icing on the cake. She even included a gift, which touched me greatly. Love my work, and love my clients who put themselves in my hands, trusting me and the process. π

I talk to so many friends and acquaintances every day that suffer from -- and ignore -- low back pain. But joint pain is your body's "check engine" light. DON'T ignore it. And don't swallow the tale that there's nothing you can do to eliminate it. My most recent client with back pain eliminated it in ONE week with almost no movement correction needed. However, ignore it? and count on paying a much higher cost as the days and years go by. 80% of people will experience back pain. And 25% of people over age 40 will have herniated a disc; according to the NIH, "the highest prevalence is among people aged 30-50 years, with a male to female ratio of 2:1"
Don't wait. Message me, and see how fast and easy it is to get true and permanent relief, BEFORE you injure your spine. Or after. It's up to you. But before is going to feel much better.

Another instance of scientists catching up to what I have been coaching clients in for a decade: diaphragmatic breathing, adding an audible sigh upon exhale, is a fast and highly effective method for reducing stress. Doing so correctly stimulates the Vagus nerve which passes through the chest, the command for the parasympathetic nervous system (which offsets our fight-or-flight sympathetic nervous system).
While also feeling "relaxing", it help in removing the harmful stress chemical cortisol from circulating in your body.
Scientists say sighing, which involves exhaling deeply, is a good stress reducer
Researchers say sighing works better than inhaling deeply because all deep breathing activates part of the nervous system in charge of how the body rests.

Here's a new study regarding reducing your risk of developing Alzheimer's.
Regular exercise is known to be a big factor in reducing that risk as well. Especially in things that incorporate whole body and crossbody coordination. Science is shown that learning and executing dance steps reduces the risk of Alzheimer's and other dementia by 78%!

Don't you love it when science finally catches up to something you've been practicing for years? It can be quite gratifying!
For a decade now, I've been helping clients feel great in their bodies by telling them to move throughout their day. Specifically: "You don't need to try to find a solid hour or even half hour block of time in your busy day. I mean, if you DO get in a great cardio workout a couple days a week, that is excellent for heart conditioning. But, here's what I want you to do this week: at the top of the hour, get up and MOVE for 3-5 minutes. Whatever you prefer -- jumping jacks, dance party, shadow boxing. Just something that gets your heart rate up, makes you start to break a sweat, gets your breathing accelerated. Then, drink 4-10 ounces of water. Whatever you can comfortably down in a sitting. Repeat at the top of each hour throughout your day". Try it! After all, if you got a phone call, you'd stop and take it. Or had to take a bathroom break. So, get those movement breaks in. You'll be surprised at what you'll feel... while also saving your life.
Sitting all day can be deadly. 5-minute walks can offset harms
People who get regular short bouts of exercise are less likely to develop diabetes, dementia and heart disease, a new study finds. And an added benefit - regular movement puts people in a better mood.

~ A story in the life of a client ~
Are you spending time and money going to a chiropractor? Check out the experience of this 43-year-old client. When she reached out to me, she was having extreme hip pain and getting a chiropractic adjustment every 4 weeks. The adjustment would relieve her pain, but it always returned, slowly increasing until it was unbearable at that 4 week point. Then adjustment, relief, return, rinse & repeat.
I'm so thankful she reached out to me to learn how to FIX the issue, so she could break that cycle.

I advise my clients to do this. Itβs highly effective and much easier to fit into your day to take brief movement breaks , no matter what kind of movement you choose. It improves your physical health, your mood, and your energy! And now hereβs scientific evidence that supports it:
Sitting all day can be deadly. 5-minute walks can offset harms
A new study finds that taking regular, short bouts of movement during the day can reduce the risk of developing conditions like diabetes and heart disease.
