On April 22, Earth Day marked the beginning of the modern environmental movement. At present, almost a billion people around the world celebrate Earth Day each year as a day to change human behavior and create global, national, and policy changes.
Now that climate change is becoming more and more apparent, the fight for a clean environment has never been more urgent. We are seeing a rise in civil society mobilization as awareness of the climate crisis grows.
Young people today are taking to the streets by the millions to demand a new way forward, bringing back the social and cultural environments of 1970 through digital and social media. Climate action mobilization is at its peak and with the theme Invest in Our Planet, the EMB Central Office invites everyone to join us and take on the greatest challenge that we are facing at the moment.
