Breakneck Track Club

These men cemented Breakneck’s status as the 16th best running club in the country last weekend at USATF XC Club Nationals (Something we’ve known for a while but now is 100% proven). Projections from the Breakneck Strategic Planning meeting say we’ll be in the top 10 by the end of 2026, watch out. 👀 🌊

Breakneck Track Club celebrated its 30th anniversary by traveling down to Tallahassee last weekend to compete at USATF XC Club Nationals and watch the World XC Championships. The men finished 16th overall, their best finished ever! The women’s team competed hard with 3 finishers, with a full team in the works for next year. Next time, we demand more obstacles. 🌊

Breakneck repeats as champs at the Chili Run 🌶️ yesterday! Another fun race that concluded with delicious chili and beer. The top 3 also debuted their new singlets, courtesy of . Up next, some indoor racing. 🌊

Team Breakneck post Belmar 5 Mile. We just couldn’t resist one more humid summer race. Brian Quilty led the way with a 3rd place overall finish in a 26:12. Zach Helm was next in 9th with a 27:07, followed by Mike Rivera in 16th with a 28:19(3rd in his age group). Nice work fellas, onto Fall Racing! 🌊

An enormously deep Addrealine 5k this year. Brian Quilty led Breakneck with an impressive 15:19, closely followed by Jesse Spector at 15:36. Jeff Bash finished at 16:18, Nick Nocco at 16:25, and Zach Helm at 16:49. Not to forget Jason Muermann (Not Pictured) with a time of 16:47! Keep an eye out for more Breakneck action on the track at either the Oscar Moore Invitational at Rowan or the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener.

On a windy and rainy day in the borough of Pitman, Breakneck absolutely DOMINATED the 2024 Chili Run. Brian Quilty led from the front and reclaimed his course record with a 9:53 2-mile run, while the rest of the team secured seven of the top ten spots. Additionally, Alyssa Condell joined the team and won the women's race with ease, adding to the overall team score. After all the hard work, we were rewarded with chili, Miller Lites, and coupons.

It was a 1-2-3 sweep for Breakneck at the Bone Run this morning! JB Muermann led the way with Brian Quilty hot on his heels. Jeff Bash completed the sweep just days after his marathon debut. Amazing!💀 🌊

HUGE shout out to Jeff Bash for getting 6th place overall at the Steamtown Marathon on Sunday! Jeff ran a 2:40:43 in his marathon debut, and had the help of JB Muermann in the second half with his superb pacing abilities. Nice teamwork JB^2. 🌊

Action shots from the Belmar 5 last Saturday. Jesse Spector led the way with a 6th place overall finish. JB Muermann and Mike Rivera battled it out for 10th and 11th. And Zach Helm made his long awaited return to Breakneck finishing 13th. What a day! 🌊

Another Asbury Park Sheehan Classic 5k in the books! Breakneck sent its finest to tear up the course yesterday. Spirits were high…and so was the humidity, just how we like it. 🌊
