This morning when we woke up our region was in the clear from immediate impact of Tropical Storm Fred. However, as we all know, these things can change rapidly. Late this evening the National Weather Service extended the official Tropical Storm Warning to include Leon County. As a result we are closing all schools and district offices for tomorrow Monday, August 16th.

All afterschool activities for Monday have been cancelled as well.

I had the privilege to tie Master Wilbur’s new 7th degree black belt on him. We are all so proud of you and your dedication. You are an amazing leader and great example of perseverance and never giving up. After all of the belts you have tied on me and everyone else it was awesome to be the one tying one on you! Congratulations you deserve it!

Belt Promotions at the park was a success!!! It was great to come together as a MAFA family and have some fun. New belts were received, we even had a few parents come out and break some boards!
