Local fishing club in Tallahassee, FL. Our club meets once per month on the second Wednesday of each month at Glory Days Grill on Capital Circle NE.

At this meeting we discuss any club business and draw partners for the upcoming tournaments which are held on various lakes and rivers in the North Florida-South Georgia area. Our tournaments are generally held on the second weekend following the meeting. We fish ten tournaments, one per month January through October with each angler accruing points for the year. Chris Smith, JJ Trotman and Ralph Ricardo competed in the MLF BFL Bulldog Division this past weekend on Lake Lanier and here are the results;

Chris Smith 13.04lbs 62nd Place
JJ Trotman 7.10lbs 98th Place
Ralph Ricardo 2.09lbs 98th Place

The tournament year has officially commenced, and Jason Mayhann excelled, securing first place with a total catch weight of 30.42lbs, including a notable 11.07lbs largemouth bass that could potentially be the biggest fish of the year. Eric Wills made a strong comeback to the club after a temporary absence for child rearing, claiming second place with a sack weighing 20.43lbs. Guy Bridges secured third place with a total catch weight of 17.97lbs. The event saw 19 anglers participating, catching over 77 fish and accumulating a total weight of 207lbs, marking it a successful day of fishing.

Big Bend Bass Club Annual Awards Banquet was a great success!

Brian Wilmot received Angler Of The Year for this season's performance!

Eddie Ditto received the Big Bass of the Year for his 7.57 hawg he brought to the scales!

Jerry Shook received Most Improved Angler for his climb up the rankings!

Evan Hostutler won the BPS rod and reel combo, in the meeting attendance raffle!

The members that attended feasted of fresh seafood and enjoyed the camaraderie of the evening!

Let's congratulate Rich Echols on winning the 2025 Top 8 Classic! Lake Martin Alabama was not stingy with lots of small spotted bass, but the larger fish eluded us! For 2 days, Rich fished six docks in a foot of water, and he managed to bring 15.92lbs to the scale for the win! Plus, he had big fish each day of the tournament. Our current Angler of Year, Brian Wilmot comes in second place bringing 14.88lbs to the scales. Randy Ditto, comes in third place with 12.66lbs. David Mock comes in fourth place with 22.63lbs. Ralph Ricardo comes in fifth place with 11.04lbs. JJ Trotman comes in sixth place with a 9.54lbs. Eddie Ditto comes in seventh with 7.82lbs. And, Phil Barber comes in eighth place with 4.06lbs.

Let's congratulate Brian Wilmot on his solid win this past weekend on thr Flint River. Brian came in first place with 16.47lbs including a 5.69lbs fish! Eddie Ditto comes in second with 11.17lbs including a 4.28lbs fish. Nick Singleton come in third place with 10.95lbs including a nice 5.50lbs Shoal Bass. Ralph Ricardo brings in the big fish for the tournament with a 6.48lbs hawg! We had 12 anglers bring in 44 bass! Next month is the last tournament of the year on Lake Eufaula and Angler of the year will be decided!

Let’s congratulate David Mock on his commanding performance on Lake Harris! He had a day to day lead to win Stop 2 of the BBBC season. David took first place with a two day total of 34.95lbs! Eddie Ditto came in second with his two day sack of 24.36lbs, including the big fish of the tournament and maybe the year, weighing at 7.57lbs. JJ Trotman comes in third place with his two day goal of 18.35lbs. The season is still young it’s anybody’s race! stop 3 of the season will be at home on Lake Talquin in April.

Let's congratulate Coangler and pledge James Duncan for coming in 1st place with a 5 fish limit for 12.86Lbs. 2nd place goes to Kevin Swisher with his limit weighing 10.24lbs. 3rd place goes to Brian Wilmot with his limit weigh 9.50lbs. Team Wilmot and Duncan brought in 1st and 3rd place sacks today! Finally big fish honors goes to Phill Barber with his 4.15lbs catch. Angler of the year points start with this tournament! This years race is way to young to start making predictions!

We Just had our annual awards banquet there the first weekend of December!!

Some of you may have already heard the buzz, but for those who haven’t, we are so thrilled to announce that we will be a hosting a watch party of ’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives this Friday at Backwoods Crossing and !

The episode airs at 9pm on December 27, and we hope to have y’all join us for the release!

It was such a pleasure having Guy and his team film with us. Guy is such a cool dude, very down to earth, and wonderful to work alongside!
