2025-26 Senior Tribute and Highlights
A tribute to our seniors and a highlight reel of a year to remember.

After making it to the regional semifinals for the first time since 2008 and after winning its first postseason game in over a decade (we won two postseason games this year!) and after beating Sickles, Steinbrenner, Plant and Newsome all in the same season for the first time ever, the Ravens’ season finally came to an end. The boys kept the scoreboard clean after the first 40 minutes, but let in two goals in the second half to lose 2-0 the incredibly talented Palm Harbor University Hurricanes. We wish PHU well as they go for the state championship.
Most of the seniors that leave us have been with us for four years. They are this coaching staff’s first graduating class. They have led Alonso to heights that seemed impossible just a couple of years ago. Each captain made the Western Conference American Division All-Star team either on the first or second team. Their leadership will serve us well as we now start preparing for the ’26-‘27 season. We thank them for their undeniable leadership over these last four years.
Our season was great, however, because our underclassmen stepped up. Our starting keeper is only a freshman. He turned into a senior during these last couple of months. Two of our biggest goals this season were scored by sophomores. And our juniors, well, they are on another level and we can’t wait to get this train rolling again with them at the helm next season. We will see you all again on the field in October and thank you for your support of our boys.

Boys Soccer Tryouts begin Monday, 10/13/25, and continue through Wednesday, 10/15/25, at the main field. Each night the tryouts will go from 7:00-9:30 P.M. The gate to get in is by the gym near the student parking lot. If you are late, you may not be able to get in, so be there 15 minutes early to be safe. Each night the students will wear different colored shirts based on their class year to make things easier for the coaches to evaluate. Monday has Freshmen in White, Sophomores in Yellow/Gold, Juniors in Grey and Seniors in Dark Blue. These colors will rotate the following two nights. Bring running shoes, cleats, shin guards and water to each night of tryouts. You must be cleared to tryout or you’ll be sent home. We are looking forward to seeing you give it your all at tryouts. Good luck!

We are thrilled to announce that we had three players and a head coach win spots on the Western Conference American Division All-Star team. Reid Holt and Johan Murillo were named to the First Team while Lucas Moreno was named to the Second Team. Coach Wilson was voted Coach of the Year. These great awards are emblematic of a great group of young men, coaches and parents who worked tirelessly for a common goal. Congratulations to the all of our Ravens players, coaches and parents.
