A crusty little warehouse in Tampa, Florida. This is where Tampa Am and Tampa Pro have been held since the early 90's. We have also had an online store and full coverage of everything we do at http://SPoTTampa.com with great service and selection in all things skateboarding and only skateboarding.

From Damn Am Japan to Tampa Am Champion 🏆🇰🇷

The first time Juni Kang / 강준이 was on our radar was Damn Am Japan 2023 in Murakami City. Juni came over as the only skater from South Korea in the contest, qualified 5th out of 75, and made it all the way to the Semi-Finals where he finished 12th, just missing the cut for Finals.

A few months later he made the trip to Tampa for his first Tampa Am. Starting in the Friday Last Chance Open with 151 skaters, Juni worked his way into Saturday, qualified 8th out of 100, and eventually finished 14th in the Semi-Finals. He may have missed the Finals, but he definitely made his presence known, taking home the 2023 Zumiez Destroyer Award.

By 2024, Juni was a different animal. He came back through Damn Am Costa Mesa, took 3rd overall and won the Skater XL Best Trick before making his return to Tampa. At the 30th Annual Tampa Am, he qualified 1st out of 100 on Saturday and carried that momentum straight into Sunday’s Finals.

It all came down to his third and final run. The last run of the entire contest, with one more shot to make it happen. Juni put it down when it mattered most and walked away the 2024 Tampa Am Champion. 🏆

From first meeting him at Damn Am Japan in 2023 to watching him close out Tampa Am with the winning run in 2024, Juni’s rise happened FAST.

Now we’re getting ready for the 32nd Annual Tampa Am, October 15–18. Who’s writing the next chapter?
