As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day weekend, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice has protected the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy every day.

At Florida Personal Training, we are grateful for those who served with courage, commitment, and selflessness. Memorial Day is more than the start of summer — it is a time for reflection, appreciation, and unity as Americans.

We encourage everyone to take a moment this weekend to remember the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice and to cherish the health, family, and freedom we are fortunate to enjoy.

Twenty-two years after 9/11, it is still very hard to put into words what that day means. For everyone who lived through it, it is about remembrance and resilience. For those who lost family and friends, it’s a deeper infliction. That day of infamy was deeply tragic for those who lost a husband, wife, fiancé, brother, sister, son, daughter, and other loved ones whose lives were cherished.

If you are old enough, you certainly remember exactly where you were when the planes struck the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field in rural Pennsylvania on that Tuesday morning. And you – like us – recall how we spent the rest of that desolate day.

We hope you take this day to remember the terrible loss our country sustained two decades ago, and that you use that somber reality to fuel you in life as you move forward. To live a full, honest, and positive life.

Our nation mourns still, yes, but none more than the loved ones of those who lost someone dear that day. Our hearts have extended to you all since the day the towers fell, and they extend to you again today.

JOIN US FOR OUR FAMILY FITNESS CHALLENGE!!

Fitness for everyone!

Looking for a fun and engaging way to get your child moving and promote a healthy lifestyle? Look no further than our Family Fitness Challenge at Online Fitness and Wellness!

Our team of  Wellness Specialists work together with our families to establish healthy eating and exercise habits for a lifetime. We provide an online community that provides weekly challenges, daily exercises, support, and education for families.

Families are challenged each day to participate in the daily exercises listed on the calendar. For the month of September, we encourage kids, their parents, and their friends to all practice simple exercises during the week and on weekends. Some of the exercises include planks, squats, and hip bridges.

Saturday is challenge day! Families will spend the allotted time participating in a family friendly activity. Our team will also provide educational videos to help families understand how to create healthy habits and nutritional goals. We will provide continued support helping keep the families motivated throughout the challenge.

Best part is that the challenge is just $10/per family and all proceeds go to Power Kids Wellness!

Keep it basic, and don’t over-complicate your workouts. Too often people skip foundational exercises for workouts that look cool and are trendy. Mastering the basics truly takes time, so don’t rush through. A progressive basic workout program including exercises like squats, rows, lunges, and chest presses totally work and get great results.
