Tampa Acro officially turned 5 on August 30th!

This month, we’re getting together to celebrate 5 years of community, connection, and lifting each other up.

Join us Saturday, September 19th from 5 PM until shortly after sunset at Treasure Island Beach.

This celebration is open to all acro communities. Come play, connect, do some acro, and enjoy the sunset with us.

If you’d like to bring a shareable snack, that would be awesome, but there are no requirements other than bring yourself and come have fun!

Parking:
Designated street parking is available, along with a paid parking lot. Restrooms and an outdoor shower are located at the pavilion.

5 YEARS OF TAMPA ACRO ❤️

As Tampa Acro turns 5, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for every single person who has been part of this community.

To those who joined us for a season, my regulars who continue to show up, and every beginner who walked in unsure but willing to try something new, you are what created Tampa Acro. You have made this community such a heaven-sent group of incredible individuals. We learn from each other, inspire one another, support each other, build friendships, laugh, fall, get back up, and celebrate every win together.

As your teacher, I’m reminded that I’m also a student, as I learn from each of you. I see your courage, creativity, dedication, trust, and willingness to believe in yourselves, you ALL inspire me more than you know.

And yes… I know I can be that teacher. 😂

It’s because I know that what feels difficult or unattainable today can become that incredible “HECK YEAH and I JUST DID THAT!” moment.

Those huge smiles. The high-fives. The “LOOK WHAT I JUST DID!” The moment a skill finally clicks after working on it over and over again, I absolutely relish those moments and seeing just how far each of you has come in your Acro journey.

CONNECTED IN FLIGHT
Class Three

For our third Connected in Flight class, we’re bringing even more creativity into the air as we introduce Acro Dance in silks and straps, along with Acro Surfer in the silks.

We’ll explore movement, stability, gravity, and sensory awareness as you learn to connect with the floor, the fabric, your partner, and your own body in an entirely new way. Every class begins with a fun, intentional full-body warm-up designed to wake up those stabilizing muscles, create length, build strength, and prepare you for the progressions ahead.

Then we take it step by step from the ground to the air. Challenging enough to inspire you, approachable enough to feel achievable. We meet you where you are, spot you along the way, and guide each progression with safety, confidence, and a whole lot of creativity.

Come ready to move, connect, play, and experience Acro from a completely different perspective.

We can’t wait to bring you more fun, creative, and inspiring material, and we want to hear your ideas too.

Your creativity inspires us and helps shape the class. When we move, explore, and create together, one idea can spark another, and suddenly we’re building something completely new. So bring your curiosity, your suggestions, and your imagination…let’s see where we can take Connected in Flight next.

Our second Connected in Flight class is taking off on Saturday, August 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Circus Arts Foundry!

We’ll begin with a full-body warm-up, then move into beginner friendly acroyoga poses that gradually transition from the ground into the silks. You’ll receive guided instruction, spotting, and support throughout each progression so you can move with confidence, explore something new, and meet yourself exactly where you are.

And if time allows, we may even finish with a little Partner Straps fun!

No partner and no experience required.

Just come ready to move, connect, and take flight with us.
