The Hillsborough County Adaptive Sports Team traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan to compete in the Hartford Nationals by Move United! Over 15 athletes competed in Track & Field, Para-Powerlifting, Air Precision, and Archery. Many of them broke Personal Records, and set Move United National Records. The athletes are coming back to Tampa with 26 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals, and 4 Bronze Medals!

Hillsborough County Adaptive Sports competed in Texas Parasport Games this past weekend. The athletes competed in archery, track, field, power lifting, and air precision and brought home 14 gold and 12 silver medals. Now it is time to get ready for Nationals π

Hillsborough County Adaptive Sports held their first ever wheelchair football clinic! Thank you to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheer Squad for cheering the athletes on and to the Wheelchair Buccaneers for coming out to teach youth athletes skills, drills, and the game of wheelchair football.

Coach Carlos collaborated with The University of Tampa Health Sciences, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Department, and Campus Recreation to host All Access Hoops. University of Tampa students were able to learn wheelchair basketball skills, and apply them into scrimmages with Tampa Bay Strong Dog athletes! Thank you UTampa for hosting the Strong Dogs and the Hillsborough County Adaptive Sports Program for this amazing event!

And that is a wrap!
HCAS powerlifters took 3 gold medals and 3 silvers, the archers took 1 gold medal and 2 silvers, the shooters took 1 gold medal and 2 bronze, and Momo with SEVEN gold medals in swimming. Wahooo π

PHOTO DUMP from days 1-3 at 2024 Nationals! The Field participants started the medal count for HCAS at 12 and multiple athletes have set at least one personal record. The medal count keeps climbing, but more importantly HCAS is having FUNπ

The Tampa Bay Wheelchair Bucs had a great start to their season with a tour of Raymond James Stadium! The players are now practicing hard in preparation for their first tournament IN TAMPA August 3rd and 4th at the Tampa Convention Center π
