We’re proud to share a major milestone for Veteran care in Florida and across the nation.
The Tampa VA has officially been designated as an ALS Recognized Treatment Center, placing us among an elite group of facilities nationwide. We are now only the second VA facility in Florida and one of just five VA medical centers in the country to receive this honor.
This national recognition from The ALS Association underscores our unwavering commitment to delivering the highest quality, multidisciplinary care for Veterans living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). As an ALS Recognized Treatment Center, we bring together neurologists, therapists, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other specialists in a single coordinated visit—ensuring comprehensive, compassionate, and patient centered care tailored to the complex needs of individuals with ALS.
This achievement reflects the dedication and excellence of our entire interdisciplinary ALS care team, whose work strengthens our ability to support Veterans and their families with evidence based care, expanded resources, and national collaboration.
