This past weekend I had the honor of attending the first-ever Orange County Fire Department’s Ignite Girls Fire Camp—a powerful, hands-on event designed to inspire and empower the next generation of female firefighters.

The camp gave young women the opportunity to step into the boots of a firefighter and experience everything from CPR, victim search & rescue, aerial rescue with the ladder truck, hose management & fire attack, hazmat leak mitigation, fire extinguisher operation, and so much more.

It was incredible to see the fire department’s training center in action, but even more inspiring to watch these young women step up, learn, and lead with courage.

I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to serve as a mentor and support a group of future female leaders who are breaking barriers and blazing trails. 🚒🔥💪

It's in our DNA to want to expand, grow, and blossom! Everything on this planet is a living entity seeking a more expressive version of itself. From nature to our own lives, we are seeking. It's Maslow's Hierarchy of Law. This is nothing new. But often, we forget and neglect ourselves and justify it because of family, jobs, and financial obligations. AND HOW TO ORGANIZE IT ALL?!

This is where the truly nerdy side of me comes out! I found I truly love getting to the core of needs and desires and finding a way to fulfill them in a massive way. That's me! Go for something crazy and audacious! Go Big or Go Home!
But sometimes, it's overwhelming. I mean, where to begin? What if we worked together and found an easy way? Here are the steps I take:

1. Knowing what you really want and desire
2. Research who knows this information
3. Take ACTION and apply the knowing
4. Lead in the knowing
5. Repeat- and be excited about it!
