Protein shakes, specifically Whey isolate, are truly a lifesaver at times. They are convenient, easy to make, and provide your body with the nutrients you need to keep your metabolism turbocharged, and great for building and repairing muscle tissue. What if you don't have time to eat a solid meal, so you can drink it in the form of a shake. But what if that meal needs to have starchy carbs in it as well? What do you do? You mix in your whey powder in WATER ONLY! And, you measure out accordingly, and add rolled oats(oatmeal) to the blender as well. The oatmeal is a great, slow-releasing energy source, and makes the shake much more sustaining! Give it a try!

Tricep pushdowns are a very popular and super effective exercise for the back of the arms. Most people do a pretty good job of keeping their elbows in, but I'd like to tell you a couple things that will intensify the movement. First thing is, when you tuck your elbows in, pull them straight back underneath the shoulder. It'll feel like you just increased the weight by 30lbs! Second thing is when bringing the bar(or rope) up, only bring your elbows up to 90°. By doing that, you're keeping tension on the muscle the entire time. Give it a try!
