We had an in-barn "not rolex" horse show today in honor of the Land Rover KY 3 Day that wasn't. Bryce and Abby both rode their ponies wonderfully. Dexter was jumping 2'9"-3'3" jumps, and Moose was jumping 18" crossrails-2' verticals. Then we had a pizza party and finished the day off with key lime pie and cookies! Bones did not get to participate today due to an injury, unfortunately, but will be back at it in a couple weeks!

What an amazing show yesterday! Mr. Bones and Jojo were both perfect and received a TON of compliments (I literally lost count of how many people were saying how awesome they were).

Abby rode Jojo in the 2'6", 2'9", and 3' jumpers, placing 4th, 1st, and 1st, respectively.

Keegan rode Mr. Bones in the dressage, 2'6", and 2'9" jumpers, placing 1st, 2nd, and 4th, respectively.

Lillie rode Mr. Bones in the 2'6" modified equitation class, placing 4th on the flat, and got 3rd in both of her jumping classes! Not too bad for only jumping him twice before yesterday and never showing at that level before.

Abby and Mr. Bones over a 2'6" wide oxer yesterday... I read a post by Denny Emerson about the "praying mantis position" (in the second picture) and how that happens when you pinch the knee and lay on the horse's neck. I see this a lot in new riders, and 6 months ago, that's how Abby looked when she started riding with me. We have worked hard in developing her lower leg and position and she is living, breathing proof that it is possible to fix. Even though we are an eventing barn, we strive to ride with proper equitation and stay balanced over fences, especially as we move up the levels.

FOR LEASE: Soldier is up for lease. He is an 8 year old 16'1 thoroughbred who loves going out on the trails. He can also do some lower level dressage with a competent rider. He rides out alone or in company and will lead or follow. Beginner safe but needs a strong rider. Full or partial lease available. Located in Odessa close to trails and a clay/sand arena on property. Message for more information or questions

We currently have 2 possibly 3 horses up for lease at the farm. Beginner safe trail horse, advanced beginner safe (with supervision) eventing horse, and possibly eventing prospect that's currently out of work due to owner surgery. We are being extremely picky about who we want to lease our horses. PM for more information, prices, etc

Bones and I have been working really hard to get ready for out first Introductory (2'3") Combined Test on October 28th. Coming off a win in the dressage at Sumter last month, we are super excited to get back into the eventing world after a long year of rehabilitation. Our next goal will be a 3-phase Horse Trial December 2nd at Beginner Novice height

I'm baaackk! After a year of some intense training, I am back in florida. If you have your own horse and would like to schedule a lesson, get in touch! I can come to you or you can haul over to me.

If you dont have your own horse, standby while I try to find a schoolmaster type to teach on!
