Grateful for the recognition from scouts, but even more proud of the work, growth, and togetherness on display all weekend long. The write-ups are earned… and just the beginning.

Runner-up at Dynasty Hoops’ Spring Bling tournament with just 6 — all heart, all grit, all together. This group continues to prove what effort, coachability, and pride in each other really looks like.

Big time recognition for two of our own 🏆

Sunlake HS senior G Cherity Powells has been named SAC Player of the Year! Cherity consistently brings a defensive energy to the floor that fuels everyone around her. With her ability to get downhill and attack the rim at full speed, paired with her natural leadership and poise to regroup her team in any moment—this is what impact looks like. Senior year and she’s leaving it all on the floor the right way!

Springstead HS standout, 2028 PG Ariana “Ari” Willoughby has been named GCAC Co-Player of the Year! Ari’s grit sets her apart on both ends of the floor. From her composure as a lead guard to her ability to score at all three levels, she continues to show a special feel for the game—and we’re just getting started. Excited to watch her growth this summer!

These honors don’t happen by accident. The hard work, consistency, and dedication put in day after day is what leads to coaches across these conferences coming together to recognize and vote for players of this caliber.
