This Halloween...Become a Certified Underwater Zombie Hunter!
Saturday, Oct 24 ~ Lake Denton ~ 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

JOIN CALYPSO in an uncommon Halloween opportunity to compete in an underwater adventure game and refine your diving skills...while also earning the PADI-approved Underwater Zombie Hunter Distinctive Specialty certification!
This unique course brings important diving skills like underwater navigation, search and recovery, and rescue diving to a two-dive underwater game similar to flag football.
• On DIVE 1, your dive team will train in underwater navigation, search and recovery, rescue skills, and operating underwater anti-zombie weaponry... BUBBLE CANNONS!
• On DIVE 2, you'll search for a missing scientist and biotoxin while evading a horde of zombies played by Calypso staff divers. If you get bitten by a zombie (lose all your flags) you'll become one of the zombie horde!
• After the dives, we'll celebrate with a BIG COOKOUT at the lake.
Only $289 covers all the fun, food, two tanks, and rental equipment if needed (BCD, regulators and wetsuit), and your PADI Zombie Hunter certification. Minimum Open Water Diver/age 12 to participate.
AND THERE'S MORE... you can join our Underwater Pumpkin Carving Dive event immediately afterward - only $49 for registered Zombie Hunters! Includes a third tank.
Costumes are encouraged, provided they do not interfere with scuba equipment. Please remember that Lake Denton is run by a church group, so use good judgment regarding costume themes. All children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Congratulations to Will, Calypso’s newest PADI Divemaster! He has successfully completed the first stage of his Pro Dive program, which includes advanced diving skills and safety certifications, under the guidance of PADI IDC Staff Instructor Jason. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone in his diving journey, demonstrating his dedication and readiness to lead and assist other divers.

Congratulations to Calypso’s newest PADI Open Water Divers! Dad Jason and his son Peter (Junior Open Water Diver for Peter) on Rainbow River with Instructor Scott. They enjoyed an incredible adventure, witnessing springs bubbling from the sandy bottom and exploring a vibrant underwater world filled with gar, turtles, bass, bluegill, and more. Plus, they participated in the PADI AWARE program, learning how to make a real impact through marine policy advocacy, citizen science, and direct conservation efforts. They were joined by Divemaster Mary and Go Pro Divemaster candidate Will, making it a truly memorable experience!
