Far South Tampa Pickleball

There are a few good tournaments coming up in the Tampa area. Anyone out there already signed up?

We played a fun little tournament on MacDill AFB, only ten teams though, hope to help grow this one in the future.

Brisk night under the lights at Foster Park 🏓

I often play at Foster and SkyView, small two-court parks in south Tampa, and see people show up and leave without playing because they either don’t know to put their paddles up and rotate on to a court, or they hope to get a court for their foursome and keep it for an hour or more without rotating.

If you are an experienced player please take a moment to explain the rotation etiquette, especially if there are people playing singles while one court is already rotating with a wait, they likely don’t know any better.

I know the two court set-up can be frustrating because it is hard to keep the level of play of each court consistent, but in south Tampa it seems to be how the city is addressing the demand (a post for a different day). So let’s all take a moment to be welcoming to those beginners who show up and don’t know how to approach getting on a full court.
