Prayers for Damar Hamlin🙏🙏🙏🙏

Well Heatwave family, last night was wonderful🧡🖤🥎🖤🧡 Sonny's family, friends, players, fellow coaches, team parents and entire families came out to remember Sonny. We played ball, our youngest player being 10 (If they looked over 20, I didn't ask ages😆). There were more than enough players, lots of laughter, some great plays and even an OTF homerun 😁 If you're ever at field 5 at Bartow, there's a little bit of Sonny's ashes spread on the 3rd base coaching box. That's where he always wanted to be 🧡🖤🥎🖤🧡

**For anyone who would like to play or just catch up with others, there will be a tribute game at 5 p.m. The field will be announced closer to game time.

**Arrive by 4 as the game gets organized and for warm-ups 😆😆😆

**T-shirts will be sold all day and they will be $20

**There will be a basket to collect any cards or letters that you would like to pass onto the family

Wow! It has been a day full of a whirlwind of emotions. Highs and lows, laughter and tears...

There have been so many beautiful tributes posted on this page, through messenger and on Sonny's page. I saw Kim today and I would like to turn them all into a book for the family. They already know what he meant to his players and the fast pitch community, but it would be nice for them to have as a memorial. Please continue posting your memories, tributes and photos. Also there will be a tribute to Sonny held at Bartow during one of their last tournaments of the season. Both Heatwave teams will be playing in the tournament. Once details are known, we will post that info also, it will be soon.

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Sonny passed away last night. His dedication to his family, his players and the sport were second to none. If you were one of Sonny's girls this is tough right now, but know how lucky you are to have had such a strong presence in your life. So many others search for that🧡🖤

I'm sure Sonny's family will share service information. Please surround his family, friends and players in love and prayers. Remember all of those good times and that will keep Sonny's memory alive.

Hi there friends of Heatwave🧡🖤🧡🖤 Unfortunately, Sonny is experiencing complications from his surgery and it looks as though he will not recover from this one. His daughter has offered to share her # as a way to get messages to him. Please message this page and I will share her # with you.

They are beginning palliative care while in the hospital until it is time for hospice. He can receive visitors and messages. Let's lift him up in love and prayers as he begins his next journey and gets to see his beloved Christine❤️🙏🙏❤️
