Today we join women across the country in remembering Gloria Steinem.

Gloria spent decades fighting for women to have an equal voice, an equal say and equal power. She championed reproductive freedom and helped found the National Women’s Political Caucus to recruit, train and elect more women to public office.

That work helped build the foundation for organizations like Ruth’s List. We are proud to carry forward the mission Gloria helped advance: building women’s political power by helping women step forward, run for office and lead.

At a moment when our freedoms are under attack and women remain underrepresented in elected office, we must honor Gloria not only by remembering what she fought for, but by continuing the work she dedicated her life to.

After years of preparation, including candidate recruitment, training, and vetting, we have reached our last endorsement slate of the 2026 election cycle! Meet the final 6 women to receive our endorsement this cycle:

On September 18, we are hosting a luncheon in Winter Park, featuring statewide candidates Gwen Graham and Annette Taddeo, as well as local leaders Representative Anna V. Eskamani and Jane Aman for Florida House!

Lunch will be followed by our final candidate and campaign training sessions of the 2026 cycle, lead by Anders Croy and former Ruth's List Board Chair Emma Collum.
