THE WEEKLY LIST · Edition 4 · September 26

Two meets, two very different mornings.

MANATEE COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP · LAKEWOOD RANCH · 3K

One school ran away with both titles. Nolan Middle School won the girls' race with 28 points — four of the top nine — and took the boys' title too. And Katelyn McIntyre, second at North Port a week ago, won the girls' race: her second race on file with us, and her first title. Different courses, so the two times don't compare.

Girls: 1 Katelyn McIntyre, Nolan MS, 11:29.45 · 2 Willa McGirr, Haile MS, 12:22.48 · 3 Vivian Bower, Nolan MS, 12:36.30 · 4 Emma Valentin, Nolan MS, 12:44.69 · 5 Kaitlyn Stefanski, Haile MS, 12:51.65 · 6 Alexandria Brown, Braden River MS, 13:07.48 · 7 Sophia Antipov, Mona Jain MS, 13:10.90 · 8 Olivia Gagliano, Haile MS, 13:11.10 · 9 Charlotte Rigney, Nolan MS, 13:34.43 · 10 Emily Stanoch, Mona Jain MS, 13:35.66

Boys: 1 Kai Curtis, Buffalo Creek MS, 11:21.36 · 2 Maddox Rowe, Barbara A. Harvey K-8, 11:32.78 · 3 Sully Shea, Nolan MS, 11:44.88 · 4 Hunter Ransome, Buffalo Creek MS, 11:48.47 · 5 Mitch Fehr, Mona Jain MS, 11:55.44 · 6 Landry Keller, Nolan MS, 11:55.48 · 7 Lukas Barber, King MS, 11:59.80 · 8 Alessandro Hernandez, Nolan MS, 12:03.25 · 9 Grady Heffernan, Nolan MS, 12:04.42 · 10 Lucas Martinez, Mona Jain MS, 12:04.43

Teams — girls: Nolan 28 · Mona Jain 75 · Haile 86. Boys: Nolan 58 · King 61 · Mona Jain 90. 254 middle schoolers across the two races.

STAMPEDE SPRINT · WIREGRASS RANCH, WESLEY CHAPEL · 3K

Same loop as last year — but 2025 was all grass. This year added asphalt and a finish on the track, so this year's times don't compare with last year's.

Girls: 1 Layne Schiebel, Httr Tornadoes, 11:47.9 · 2 Madison Chavez, Tampa Bay Pirates, 12:44.8 · 3 Audrey Powers, WCNT Mustangs, 12:48.6 · 4 Mary Widlak, Httr Tornadoes, 13:00.5 · 5 Helene Waters, grade 7, Sunlake Academy, 13:04.7 · 6 Heidi Eason, grade 8, Tampa Bay HEAT MS, 13:16.3 · 7 Emily Davila, grade 7, Trinity School for Children, 13:40.4 · 8 Margaux Plyler, Tampa Bay Pirates, 13:44.9 · 9 Esteva Lyra, grade 7, Trinity School for Children, 13:58.5 · 10 Sarvin Eskandari, grade 8, Terrace Community MS, 14:15.0

Boys: 1 Noah Chandler, Tampa Bay HEAT MS, 10:40.3 · 2 Meeko Oliver, WCNT Mustangs, 10:53.5 · 3 Sawyer Dempsey, Geneva Classical Academy, 11:14.4 · 4 Christiaan Kemp, Florida College Academy, 11:16.1 · 5 Jonathan Cooper, Tampa Bay HEAT MS, 11:23.5 · 6 John Coimbra, WCNT Mustangs, 12:03.0 · 7 Eli Bassil, Lutz Preparatory, 12:08.8 · 8 Kayden Black, Tampa Bay HEAT MS, 12:11.1 · 9 Max Bricklemyer, Tampa Bay Pirates, 12:15.8 · 10 Brantley Gartner, WCNT Mustangs, 12:21.0

Teams — girls: Tampa Bay Pirates 54 · Sunlake Academy 80 · Tampa Bay HEAT MS 86. Boys: Tampa Bay HEAT MS 45 · Terrace Community 81 · Tampa Bay Pirates 107.

Middle schoolers ran varsity here too: several eighth graders from Foundation Christian and two sixth graders from Four Corners in the girls' 5K.

Timed by Elite Timing (Lakewood Ranch) and TRC Race Management (Stampede Sprint). Distances and courses are never mixed. Grades are shown only when the timer lists them.

Founding families get their first year free when logins open — and the price never goes up for them. 20 of 25 spots left at pacestory.run. Results and weekly lists stay free for everyone.

Heading to the Stampede Sprint at Wiregrass Ranch on Saturday? Here's what the meet information says, in one place.

Arrive early. The venue opens at 5:45 AM — please not before. Parking on campus is limited and closes once races begin, so many families park at Pasco-Hernando State College (about a 700 m walk), Wiregrass Elementary or Dr. John Long Middle (about 1,000 m).

Admission is $5 per spectator, 10 and under free — GoFan only, no cash at the event.

Race times: high school boys 7:25 · high school girls 8:00 · JV 8:40 · middle school 3K 9:25 · elementary 2K 9:45.

The course is two loops over grass fields and asphalt. The host does not recommend spikes.

And the forecast looks kind: dry, with a low around 62°F overnight and roughly 70 to 74°F by the time the middle schoolers go off at 9:25. That's a world away from the 90°F start line we recorded at North Port last weekend — read the times with that in mind.

Middle school medals go to the top 10 plus the team champion. One detail we liked: the meet sheet lists no middle school record yet.

Timed by TRC Race Management. Every middle school and elementary result goes into Tuesday's free list, with the meet and the timing company named on every line.

10:50.73. Third place in a middle school 3K. That's what a results page tells you.

Here's what it doesn't. The race went off at 5:15 in the afternoon, at 90°F with no wind at all — the hottest start line we've recorded this season. And for Cole Demore, eighth grade, Classical Academy in Sarasota, it's the second race we have on file. The first was at the Trinity Prep opener in August — the very first list we ever published.

Different course, different day, so the two times don't compare. But the record has started, and it's growing.

Timed by Elite Timing, North Port Invitational, September 19.

Who's behind PaceStory? Two people.

I'm a track mom with kids in the sport and a coaching licence. My husband is a software developer who builds every line of it himself. No investors, no big team.

We're a German family, and we're at the Florida meets because our daughter races here. That's how this started: we went looking for her results, found them scattered across sites that don't agree with each other, and realised nothing keeps the whole record.

So we started by asking coaches and parents instead of building. Parents told us about a DNF that never happened, a list with an impossible time on top, throws recorded in the wrong unit, results pages that vanished, kids who ran varsity in sixth grade and appear nowhere.

Every one of those is now something we build around. Impossible marks are held back before they count, and every mark has a button to report an error that a person actually reads.

And the part that makes it worth doing: a record that follows the runner. Elementary, middle school, high school, club — cross country, track and road. With the conditions each race was run in, and the name of the company that timed it on every line.

If you've got a story like that, tell me. That's how this gets built.

The first founding family is in. And of all the people who could have gone first, it's someone who times races for a living.

That matters more than it sounds. Timers are the people who know exactly how results get made — and how easily they get lost. He asked the hardest questions of anyone before signing up, and he got the answers in writing: timing companies' files are never touched, their name travels with every mark.

24 of 25 founding spots left. First year of everything free, and that price never goes up for them.

Results and the weekly lists stay free for everyone, forever. That part has nothing to do with founding spots.

And something only a record can show you: Connor Lucas and Callaway Bolt both won their races at the Trinity Prep opener two weeks ago. Saturday they were back — 6th and 5th in a much bigger field, on a different course over a different distance. Not comparable times. Just two seasons, taking shape, line by line.
