Monday Mixed Classic Bowling

Attention Monday Mixed Classic bowlers!
Don’t forget - our Organizational meeting for the Fall short-season 16-week league is next Monday, August 24 at 7:00 pm at PinChasers Midtown!

As previously posted, we are limited to 18-teams this season and currently have 17 teams indicating intentions of bowling. We have 1 team spot and 1 or 2 individual spots remaining!

If you/your team is returning and have already reached out, or you’re looking to fill an opening, you MUST attend the organizational meeting! Lineage fees have increased and we have a couple of bylaws up for consideration, so your input is important!

Oh, and after sitting through all the boring stuff, lanes will be available for some free pre-season practice!

Our first night of league is Monday, August 31 - practice starting at 7:30pm.

I hope you are enjoying your summer, staying as cool as possible, and getting in some practice during the break!

I wanted to take a moment to share some important information/dates for our upcoming Fall season.

The organizational meeting will take place at 7:00 pm Monday August 24, with the first night of the 16-week season kicking off the following week, August 31, at 7:30 pm.

Additionally, as many of you may know, Pinchaser’s Midtown will be starting a major construction project in the August/September timeframe that will result in a reduction in bowling lanes in the center!

Consequently, if all current leagues/teams return in the fall, the center will be completely full on Monday nights! That means Monday Mixed Classic will be limited to 18 teams!

At the end of last season, all 18 teams confirmed their intent in returning in the fall, so unless the leagues on either side of ours lose teams, we will have no room to expand.

Over the next several weeks, I’ll be reaching out to last season’s teams/team captains to confirm who is committed to the Fall season.

Feel free to reach out to me directly to reserve your returning spot, and if you’d like to be added to a waiting list.

I’ll keep everyone posted on any updates/changes.

Hope you’ve enjoyed a few weeks off and are ready for the start of our Winter/Spring 16-week season!

Please plan to join us Monday, January 5th at PinChasers on Armenia in Tampa. Signup and a brief meeting will begin 6:30-6:45 PM with Practice starting at 7:30, followed by Week 1 competition!

A couple of reminders for tonight!

- Tonight is the last opportunity to donate non-perishable food items for our donation to the MMC Tampa Food Pantry. For our efforts, IGBO will be making a $100 donation to MMC Tampa!

- Tonight is the last week to pay league fees! Any outstanding fees will be deducted from your Team Prize Fund!

- Tonight we will be taking nominations for our 2026 Winter/Spring season officers. If you're interested yourself, or would like to nominate a fellow league member for an office, please let Andrew know when he makes the rounds this evening.

Next week we will be taking team sign-up's for our end-of-season Pot Luck on Monday, December 15. We'll break bread before we begin busting pins on 12/15 - and after bowling while we wait on prize fund payouts!

Monday Mixed Classic - 2025 Fall League Update

We had a great turnout for last evening's Organizational Meeting including almost all of our previous season members and about 10 new bowlers joining our league!

We approved the season bylaws including a $2.00 increase in weekly fees to cover the cost of a lineage increase this year. Weekly fees will now be $22.00 per bowler, per week.

I'm happy to report that we currently have 16 Full Teams for our 2025 Fall season! I have one bowler on the wait-list looking for a Team, and we have plenty of room to grow!

If you'd still like to join us there's still time! Just come on down to Pin Chasers Midtown on Monday, August 25 (preferably by 7:00 pm to complete paperwork). Can't wait to see you all next Monday!
