🌹 Love in Humboldt: A Night in Paris!

What an incredible night we had at our Love in Humboldt Single Mingle Mixer for Valentine’s Day! A huge thank you to all our prize donors and dance sponsors who made this event possible:

The mixer was filled with high energy and participation! It was heartwarming to see new friendships blossom, friends celebrating love, and even a first kisses! 💕 Everyone walked away with a prize, and our big winners truly embraced the spirit of the night by finding dance partners and enjoying their dinner date rewards. One young man even gifted his prize to friends to celebrate their love—what a thoughtful gesture!

Taboo-D a Eureka Theater group that debunks societal myths of disability. Came and did a skit on Consent. We made it interactive and had participants joining total improv. We had laughs and a few great boundaries on consent, personal touch and rejection.

The dance was so much fun. I had an absolute blast. I am grateful for the opportunity to help spread Love in Humboldt. I included some adorable moments captured with permission from participants and/or their parents. It was especially cute when everyone wanted to take selfies with me! ✨

Love in Humboldt is a grass roots movement to help adults with disabilities in Humboldt make new friends and meet a good match for possible romantic connection.
