Construction of the new Dog Park is complete!
The addition of the Dog Park at Tamworth Campground has changed the vaccination requirements for our guests who are pet (dog) owners and bring their pets camping.
New Hampshire mandates the following vaccinations for use of a Dog Park:
- Rabies
- DHPP / DAPP
- Bordetella - kennel cough
In New Hampshire, state law requires all dogs 3 months and older to have a current Rabies vaccination
Plus a current state dog license from the dog's home state.
Since the requirement up to this point has been only for the rabies vaccine, we have taken the following steps to allow our guests time to meet the new requirements and be able to open the Dog Park to our guests, to use at their own risk, while remaining in compliance and protecting Tamworth Campground and our guests:
From May 8, 2026, through July 31, 2026
- the ONLY vaccination required during this time to check in is the Rabies vaccine
- NO state dog license is required at this time
- completion of the Waiver and Release of Liability form before arriving on the check-in date
From August 1, 2026, and onward
Required vaccinations:
- Rabies
- DHPP/DAPP
- Bordetella
- proof of current vaccinations to be presented at check-in and available upon request
- a current state dog license from the dog's home state to be presented at check-in and available if requested.
- completion of the Waiver and Release of Liability form before arriving on the check-in date
These vaccination requirements apply to all dogs staying at the campground, regardless of whether they will be using the Dog Park. Because we are unable to monitor or supervise access to the Dog Park or interactions between pets throughout the campground, these requirements help us provide a safe and healthy environment for all guests and their dogs.
We understand that some dogs may be unable to receive certain vaccinations due to allergies or other medical conditions. In those cases, we are happy to honor a medical exemption with documentation from a licensed veterinarian.
The Dog Park will be officially open on Wednesday, July 1st, to all pets (dogs) for whom their owners have completed the applicable requirements as noted above.
Terms & Conditions have been updated to reflect these new requirements as well as the Dog Park rules.

Thank you for your kind cooperation, patience, and understanding.
