Last night a fish surged in my hands while being very careful not to lift its head out of the water- as they should be handled- morally, ethically and… LEGALLY- POP.. first fractured rib of the season. So… tonight, I’m being very careful. Too far forward of the console grabbing giant tarpon - mistake. Pro angler on the rod.. nope- client. Had to get it released in proper amount of time to avoid fish mortality. I love these fish and do what I gotta do to respect them- above all else.

Another night in Jurassic park- carefully. Vewwy vewwy carefully. Professionals, at times, make mistakes- including me.
