Another great day of black powder shooting with the EGC Skunk Skinners!

We had beautiful shooting weather and a great time was had by all. Turnout was a little light again this month, but with cooler weather on the way, we expect to see more shooters joining us at upcoming matches.

Our next match will be especially fun — the Skunk Skinners “Sponsor a Guest” event is scheduled for Sunday, November 1!

If you know an EGC member, friend, or guest who has ever been curious about black powder shooting, this is the perfect opportunity to invite them out and introduce them to the sport.

Participating Skunk Skinners will sponsor guest shooters and provide the equipment and supplies needed to experience the world of muzzleloading and black powder shooting firsthand.

Whether they are completely new to black powder or simply interested in seeing what the Skunk Skinners are all about, we would love to have them join us for a day of shooting, fellowship, and fun.

Check out this month’s match scores below, and start thinking about who you might bring with you in November!

The EGC Black Powder Skunkskinners are bringing back their 2nd Annual Sponsor a Guest Day!

Join us Sunday, November 1, 2026 on Range #8 and introduce a friend, fellow member, or guest to the world of muzzleloading and black powder shooting.

Skunkskinner sponsors provide the equipment and supplies, and guest shooter match fees are waived. Non-EGC guests are responsible only for the regular $10 club guest fee.

Whether they’ve never fired a muzzleloader before or have always wanted to try black powder competition, this is a great opportunity to experience the history, tradition, and fun of the sport.

New shooters welcome!
