Join Active Alexander tomorrow-June 2nd, 2026-at 5:00 PM at the Alexander Central High School track for a fun community walk/run! Whether you want to walk, jog, or run, all ages and fitness levels are welcome. Bring a friend, get some fresh air, and enjoy moving with others in our community.

Participation is free, and you can stay for as little or as
long as you'd like. We hope to see you there!

We need your help!

The Walk & Bike Alexander County Multimodal Transportation Plan presents a long-term vision for a safer, more connected, and more accessible bicycle and pedestrian network throughout the county. The plan outlines recommended infrastructure improvements, supportive policies, and programs to improve walkability and bikeability across both established communities and rural areas.

As Alexander County continues to grow and change, this plan will serve as a roadmap for making strategic investments in active transportation. By strengthening links between neighborhoods, schools, parks, and commercial destinations, the plan seeks to make walking and biking not only more feasible but also more enjoyable.

The public is encouraged to review the draft plan and submit comments or suggestions to [email protected].
