Campus: Tempe
Date and Time: Wednesday April 25, 6:30 PM

Funneled by the border-wall into the desert, migrants wander into the Barry M. Goldwater Bombing Range. A "Wild West" landscape of towering cacti punctuated by fake Iraqi villages, practice targets for lethal ordnance, the BMGR is a place of death. But the desert is also a place of life: it preserves and memorializes what it takes. What do the events of the Arizona desert reveal about the nightmare unconscious of this country that runs on permanent war?
After/Life is a powerful short documentary. It had its international premier at the Berlin Film Festival early this year: join us for its Arizona premier. Afterwards we'll have a chance to talk to director Puck Lo, and with others involved in search-and-rescue missions in the Sonoran Desert.

Monday night practice today if anyone is interested! Same time, same place (8pm, Green gym).
Hey y'all,
Last minute idea for a Monday night, but I will have the cage open tonight for an hour or so at 8pm. If anyone wants to stop by and fence a little or fix some equipment or just say hi, feel welcome to do so.
-Natalie
Practice today (2/26) is canceled due to post-tournament exhaustion. Regular Monday and Wednesday practices will also be discontinued, but will be scheduled on request for any special training sessions or events.

Congratulations to the Women's Epee team for getting 1st in IFCSC! Also congratulations to Men's saber for getting 2nd, and Women's saber for getting 3rd! It's been a good season, and we look forward to improving for next year.
Hey y'all,
We're having a professional hotographer come in from the sports clubs office to take pictures at our practice this upcoming Thursday. They're supposed to be here from 8:15-8:45, which doesn't give us much time to set up, so it would be great if we could have everyone come on time, setup strips early, and do a little fencing before 9.
Hope to see you all there!

Fun at the beach and the tournament
In order for everyone to get more practice in, I'm going to start holding practices Monday through Thursday, instead of just Tuesday and Thursday. You don't have to go to the Monday, Wednesday practices, but I will be there for a while if you want to work on anything. It's at the same time and same place as normal (8-11PM, Green Gym)! Spread the word, invite your friends, get new people! 4 days of Fencing!
