Only a few more days before 2025 ends and I want to recap some of the memories I had fishing this year. I only added photos where I have scale photos to verify, but I am almost positive this year has produced over 30 fish pushing 9lbs plus for me with 3 over 10 lbs (2 over 13 lbs). I can’t even begin to count the 8’s and 7’s. Very grateful for the luck and time I have had to fish; especially with my dad. Hoping that next year starts just as strong, but my new pb of 13.12 lbs will be hard to beat. Yak > Boats…merry Christmas to y’all and wishing you big fish catches in 2026!

Multiple tournaments wrapping up yesterday. 1 week to put a bag to remember on the leaderboard for the Strike King Big Bass Championship. Currently working 6 12’s and only having 2/9 days to fish I gave it effort of long days and grinding through a hurricane. This lead to a bag weight wise of 42 lbs and length of 113.5”. Sadly weight doesn’t count in the kayak world, as my 3 biggest fish were 9.91, 9.86, 9.56 lbs caught between 2 days 2 different lakes on the glide. Big thanks to and for putting these events on!

Well that’s a wrap, 1st place in the National Qualifier Southern Region. 118.75” was my total anchored by a 24.5” 9.8 lb largemouth that also won big fish for the event. Always on my elite rod/hypermag combo and measured on my custom board. Many thanks to the folks at BBD for putting this on and look forward to the championship!

Sometimes when you think you snagged your swim bait so you lean into it and keep reeling….sometimes you get lucky with a fish! Still convinced that the new Lews Custom Pro and Chris Zaldaingerous swimmers are the best combination! 0 drag to peel into the trees and rocks!
