Father Ryan Wrestling 2026 TSSAA State Champions, Colten Calvin and Tanner Tran were honored on the Nashville Predators Jumbotron this afternoon at Bridgestone Arena!

On Saturday, Joe Calvin ‘24 will be wrestling for the Bellarmine Knights in the SoCon Championship at UNC Asheville's Kimmel Arena on ESPN+.

While at Father Ryan High School wrestling for the Father Ryan Irish, Joe Calvin earned the 2024 Bobby Garmon Award and the 2024 Father Ryan Grit Award, he was named a member of the All Mid-State Team four times and the MTWCA Dream team three times. Joe was a Tennessee Division II State Champion in 2023 and 2024. Joe finished as runner up in Tennessee Division II State Championships in 2022 and placed third in 2021. In 2024 he placed 5th at the Prep National All-American and 4th at the NHSCA All-America. In 2023 placed 4th at Prep Nationals All-American.

Congratulations to three of our Father Ryan Irish wrestlers who received awards at the 2026 Middle Tennessee Wrestling Coaches Association award ceremony last night.

Braxton Eason '27 and Colten Calvin '28 were named to the 2026 Middle Tennessee Wrestling Coaches Association Dream Team, and Tanner Tran '26 received the MTWCA “Johnny Drennan Award” for Male Wrestler of the Year.

We are proud of Braxton, Colten, Tanner and the entire Irish wrestling team in 2025-26!
