The University of California, San Diego Dragon Boat Team takes the competitive sport to the college level.
The mission of UCSD Dragon Boat is to allow members to participate in the sport of dragon boat racing, and to promote physical fitness and camaraderie between members in a team environment. From its humble beginnings, the team has now grown into one of the top collegiate teams in California. Our goal is to be a top performing dragon boat team whose victories are a result of a unified cohesive team

Despite the race being cancelled, we still had a fun time hanging out in Tempe! From hiking to ice skating and many things in between, it was certainly a memorable trip.
Additionally, some current and former members tried out for the u24 national team, and participated in this week's camp! Great work and best of luck to all our SD paddlers!

Our team recently took a trip up north to San Francisco to race College Cup 2022 hosted by .norcal ! It’s been a long-awaited three years since we’ve raced at Lake Merced, so for the majority of us, it was our first time participating in College Cup, but it was definitely one for the memory books. Despite over half of the team being new this year and only having a couple of months on the water together, the hard work and dedication everyone showed in practice really shined on race day! (even in the chilly conditions)
Yolo took 1st in the Mixed C Division, and Swag fought for placement in the Mixed A Division against and , having it come down to a literal photo finish in which Swag came away with 2nd (missing out by just 0.08 seconds)!
This was a great race to start off the season, and we’re already training for the next one. Thank you to everyone responsible for organizing this race, and shoutout to all of the volunteers that made running it possible. Big thanks to all of UCSDDB alumni that came to support us and that have helped us get to where we are, we couldn’t have done any of this without you!
Great job to all of our crews, and to all the teams that gave it their all on the water, we can’t wait to race you again, we love and welcome the challenge!
